ComiXology Expands Android and Kindle Fire apps with French Language Localization and Euro Currency Purchasing
Now over 500 French Bandes Dessinée available for the first time in Guided View
August 5th, 2013 – Paris, France / New York, NY. – ComiXology has taken another step in its global expansion today with the debut of their latest Android and Kindle Fire app upgrades, enabling fans across the globe to navigate the comiXology mobile platform in French. French language navigation is now present on comiXology’s Android, Kindle Fire and iOS apps, with all these mobile apps now supporting Euro currency purchasing.
ComiXology has over 500 French language titles available in comiXology’s cinematic panel-by-panel Guided View digital reading technology. The debut of these titles marks the first time French bandes dessinée (BD) content has been available in comiXology’s immersive Guided View reading technology, offering fans a unique reading experience that redefines how comics are read on digital devices. Guided View reading technology is only available on comiXology’s cloud-based platform.

And Android currently has 51% of the current smartphone base in France.
